Why We Built The Social Sofa
We were you.
Scrolling through Instagram. Crying over Canva. Doing everything for clients and nothing for ourselves.
We built The Social Sofa because we wanted a space that felt safe, valuable and fun but also a space to get sh*t done.
We’re Polly & Rachel - two experienced social media managers who hit burnout, made friends with each other, got back up, and decided to build what we wish we had when we were spiralling.

Meet The Founders
Hey! I'm Polly, the founder of Your Local Socials. I entered the industry in 2021 making travel content, and am now a full-time social media manager. I love to help business owners showcase their brand on social media. I'm a massive foodie who also loves to travel, two things in which I am lucky enough to have combined with my work. When I first started out as a self-employed social media manager, I was lost and lonely as a team of one, and desperately wanted someone to run ideas by or ask for help. Then I met Rachel! Without the support of the like-minded women I've met on this journey so far, I definitely wouldn't be here today. That is why I am so excited to share this community with you.​ I can't wait to meet you all!


Hi, I'm Rachel. I created Serenity Socials in 2022. I started as a social media manager but expanded into a brand, content and business expert in 2025. I am an ADHD and anxious girly who works with other neurodivergent founders helping them to unmask and build a brand that actually feels like them. I truly believe having the support and encouragement of others in this industry is everything. I know for a fact it's helped me become successful and our aim for The Social Sofa is to provide a safe space for all of you to do the same! Social media is how I met Polly, my business partner and bestie! I'm so excited to help you all thrive in this community and beyond.
